Gukesh creates history
Indian Grandmaster D. Gukesh created history by becoming the youngest-ever World Chess Champion. He achieved this incredible feat by defeating reigning champion Ding Liren in the 14th and final game of the World Chess Championship held in Singapore on Thursday, December 12. At just 18 years old, Gukesh is now the second Indian to win the classical chess world championship title, following in the footsteps of Viswanathan Anand.
