India captain Rohit Sharma credited his jump timing for his stunning one-handed catch at Green Park, Kanpur during the second Test against Bangladesh. The India skipper took a breathtaking catch at cover jumping to his full height to dismiss Litton Das on Day 4.
Rohit’s remarkable effort left all of his teammates awestruck as he plucked the ball out of the air and celebrated in style. Commenting on his catch after the match, Rohit revealed that he timed his jumped to perfection which helped him complete the sensational grab.
“The timing had to be good because otherwise, if you don’t time the jump well, it is very easy to miss on. I would say I was lucky enough to hold on to it. I put the jump at the right time and put my hand to the right place at the right time,” Rohit said in a video released by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj, who also took a breathtaking catch, won the Impact Fielder of the Series medal as India whitewashed Bangladesh 2-0 to complete their 18th consecutive series win at home.
