Rockstar’s much-awaited title, GTA 6, has just won its first-ever award even prior to being officially launched. Unsurprisingly, GTA 6 won the title of ‘Most Anticipated Game’ at the Game Awards 2024. The much awaited title had also won the Most Wanted Game award at the Golden Joystick Awards last month that was received by a Rockstar Games representative but that wasn’t the case this time around.
Notably, there were persistent rumours about Rockstar finally releasing a trailer 2 for the Grand Theft Auto sequel, but those leaks sadly did not come to fruition.
When is GTA 6 releasing?
The first trailer for GTA 6 had dropped just before Take-Two’s earnings call in November 2023 and the fans of this open world game have waited over a year now to see some footage before its eventual launch. Reports suggest that Rockstar is aiming at a Fall 2025 release date for the game.
However, with Take Two interactive’s history of delays between initial and follow up trailers, there has been growing frustration among the fans. There have also been leaks about Rockstar again pushing the rollout of GTA 6 to 2026.
