The Indian Premier League (IPL) announced a shortlist of 574 players who will go under the hammer during the mega auction, scheduled for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. A total of 81 players, including some of the big names from India, have kept their base price at Rs 2 crore — the highest bracket on the shortlist.
There are a total of 366 Indian players and 208 overseas players in the final list of players who will be auctioned. The IPL organisers pruned the longlist of 1574 players, cutting down 1000 players.

Only 204 slots will be up for grabs on Sunday and Monday. The IPL organisers also confirmed that the auction will get underway on the first day at 3:30 pm IST, meaning it wouldn’t clash with the timings of the first Test between India and Australia in Perth. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy series begins on November 22 at the Optus Stadium.
There will be two sets of marquee players who will be auctioned early on Day 1 of the two-day mega auction.
