Legendary Indian marksman Abhinav Bindra is quite pleased with Manu Bhaker’s performance in the Olympics in Paris. He claims that everyone may learn how to be resilient in life from the young shooter’s performance at the Paris Games.

Olympic gold champion Abhinav Bindra feels that although there should have been “more conversions” for Indian shooters in Paris, generally they should be proud with their campaign.

With three medals in shooting, India won six in total, with Manu Bhaker being the nation’s first athlete to finish on the podium twice in an Olympic Games since the country’s independence.

Manu not only took home a bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol competition, but she also won a bronze in the mixed 10m air pistol competition alongside Sarabjot Singh.

When Swapnil Kusale placed third in the 50-meter rifle three-position final in Paris, India won another bronze.

“Everyone has fought well, even though there have been some misses,” Bindra said to Jio Cinema.

While results are essential, what matters most is recognizing the progress your country has made in terms of performance. We’ve outperformed ourselves if you consider those factors. Though we have much to be proud of, we’d want to see more conversions to medals,” he remarked.

Bindra gave Manu kudos for their reconciliation and for cooperating with coach Jaspal Rana to ensure her success.

It’s a good thing that Rana is a demanding taskmaster and a treasure trove of knowledge. I managed to work with trainers I really hated as well as ones I adored.” “I give Manu credit for making up with Jaspal following a trying few years, which is typical in a relationship between a coach and an athlete. He clarified, “People who are athletes are sensitive, and that sensitivity increases under pressure.

Bindra, a gold medallist in shooting at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, described Manu’s triumph in Paris as a tale of perseverance.

She has imparted perseverance, sailed skill, and the ability to overcome setbacks to everyone. The best part was when I saw a picture of her after she qualified on the first day and she wasn’t smiling. That assured me she would succeed,” he remarked.

Bindra stated that Kusale’s emphasis on his preparations was the most notable aspect.

“He needed energy to compete, and he didn’t want to let it go. That can sometimes mean the difference between winning a medal and not,” Bindra continued.

But Arjun Babuta, who placed fourth in the men’s 10m air rifle competition, would have to wait for time to mend his injuries, according to Bindra.
