Star India cricketers Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant switched roles in a hilarious practice session in Perth as the duo bet on fast bowler’s dismissal. In a video shared by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), Bumrah can be seen padded up as he faces Rishabh Pant in nets. Ahead of their face-off, Pant hilariously reminded Bumrah of his one wicket in first class cricket.
The wicketkeeper-batter even took some help from their bowling coach Morne Morkel who bowled one delivery at the tailender but Bumrah hysterically survived Morkel’s ball as well. Later on, Pant bowled a short delivery to Bumrah which was pulled by the fast bowler towards the leg side. However, Pant claimed his wicket saying it would’ve gone straight to the fielder with which even Morkel agreed.
“Jasprit Bumrah ko pel diya hai maine, net pe out kara hai 1 wicket mila hai (I’ve dismissed Jasprit Bumrah and got 1 wicket),” Pant said in the video. In return the fast bowler quipped, “His bowling action is illegal. It’s not out, it’s a four or it’s a two, I’ve connected a pull shot. He thinks he has 7 fielders there. He should not be allowed to bowl.”
