Tilak Varma was left stunned after David Miller took an incredible catch to dismiss him in the second T20I on Sunday (November 10) at the St George’s Park. In the last ball of the eighth over, Tilak tried to go for an inside-out shot through the cover region. He had got decent timing for the ball to race to the boundary, but Miller had other ideas.
South Africa vs India, 2nd T20I Updates
Miller stuck out his right hand to take the catch overhead. Miller showed why he is deemed as one of the safest catchers in the world. He was there to stop the ball, but instead he showed great reflexes to send Tilak back to the hut. Tilak scored 20 runs at a run-a-ball with four fours before Aiden Markram accounted for his wicket.
With his departure, India were reduced to 45 for four in eight overs. Earlier, Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma and skipper Suryakumar Yadav failed to get into double digits.

Tilak Varma has got off to starts in both the T20Is thus far, but he would have wanted to score at least a half-century to his name. In the first game, the left-handed batter scored 33 runs off 18 balls with three fours and two sixes before Keshav Maharaj accounted for his wicket.
Even in the second game, Tilak got his eyes in before perishing. In 18 T20Is thus far since his debut last year against the West Indies at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tilak has scored 389 runs at an average of 32.41. He got his top score of 55 not out against Bangladesh in the Asian Games 2023 match in Hangzhou.
He has also played four ODIs, scoring 68 runs with a top score of 52 against South Africa back in December 2023 in Paarl.
